This Nero d'Avola pops with juicy fruit and spice. A great medium-bodied red with fresh acidity, plush red fruits, a whisper of spice and the kind of structure that's ready for the esky. Perfect with charcuterie or pizza - pop a chill on it!
Nero looks absolutely at home in the Riverland year after year, achieving a balanced ripeness. A little Gamay-esque, almost Cru Beaujolais, with lovely sweet nutmeg and baking spice aromatics, a woody cedary undercurrent and bright, punchy blue and brambly black fruits. Great mineral drive, a salty acid line framed by crispy tannins, with a bit of meaty chew. It's always been a party wine, and it continues to be.
